About Us

Typolora began as a response to the need for design elements that exist alongside the project — not above it. Our fonts are created for those who see nuance as the foundation of visual character. We don’t chase complexity — we look for natural interaction between shape, spacing, and tone.

Each of our collections starts with observation. To us, a font isn’t decoration or statement. It’s a quiet part of the whole. It should work in harmony with other visual components. When we build a collection, we explore how it behaves in real settings — a notebook, a title card, or packaging. That’s what matters: seeing how a shape lives.

Typolora is created by two people who combine visual sensitivity with technical clarity. Emma Calloway develops the form. She works with soft curves, subtle detail, and echoes of handwritten notes. Her style blends archival texture with present-day lightness. James Rowden ensures coherence and compatibility between fonts in a single pack. He edits, adjusts, and refines — so every font is ready to be applied across various use cases while keeping its voice intact.

There is no rush in our process. We’re not following trends — we’re searching for consistency in form. Each typeface is designed as its own visual element, but all our packs are tied together by shared values: respect for layout, sensitivity in design, and clarity in tone.

Typolora isn’t about impressing. It’s about supporting. If you’re working on a project where feeling matters — where shape brings meaning forward without overshadowing it — our fonts may be the base you’re looking for.

We believe that design doesn’t begin with an idea, but with tone. And it’s the type that sets the tone.
